The Mirage Lynx hull is built with ACE-TEC construction. A super light, super strong hull construction method. It consists of a solid EPS foam core, wrapped by various layers of woven fiberglass glued together with epoxy resin. The kayak is then finished with a Thermoformed plastic skin.

The Lynx's flat-bottom design provides confidence-inducing stability and ultimate maneuverability. A newly designed removable rudder make it turn on a dime and offer the user the choice of having the rudder control on the left or right side of the elevated seating with breathable mono mesh fabric. The seat can be taken off to be used as beach chair whilst not kayaking. Stay cool under the Hobie Bimini or set up the sail kit in the Forward Accessory Mount. Inserts for the Hobie H-Bar and H-Rail together with the Intergrated Accessory Mounting Tracks open up tons of opportunities to customize the kayak with a whole range of  H-Rail accessories.
